Tesla required a deposit of US$1000 to reserve a car. Within a week of announcing Model 3, Tesla received over 325,000 preorders. Model 3 is expected to come out at the end of next year. The car’s base price is US$35,000. It will be able to seat 5 people, and will be able to go 215 miles on a single charge.
