The oldest living man, Yasutaro Koide (of Japan), died on January 19 at the age of 112. He was born in 1903. It is not confirmed as to who will now be bestowed with the oldest living man’s title. The oldest living person is a woman, Susannah Mushatt Jones (of USA). She is 116 years old. There are only 2 known people left in the world born in the 1800s, one of them being Jones. The oldest known person who has ever lived was Jeanne Calment, a French woman who died in 1997 at the age of 122 years.
