Largest known prime number

A new prime number has been found. It is the largest prime number ever discovered. Want to memorize it? It only has 22,338,618 digits. :-) If you really want to know the number, it is 2 multiplied by itself 74,207,281 times minus 1. The previous largest prime number was discovered in 2013 and had about 17 million digits. Prime numbers are whole numbers greater than one that are divisible only by 1 and themselves. Examples are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, and 13. Here is a video about it, and another video with a prime number rap.
