A diamond discovered

Lucara Diamond Corp. has announced the discovery of the world’s second largest gem quality diamond ever recovered. It was found at a mine in Botswana. The stone is a 1,111 carat diamond.  It is about the size of a tennis ball. The largest diamond ever found is the 3,106-carat Cullinan Diamond, which was discovered in 1905 in South Africa. Botswana is one of the world’s largest diamond producers.
