On February 8, Côte d’Ivoire defeated Ghana to win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, a soccer tournament amongst countries in the African continent. It was a gripping final, with the match going into extra time, with no goals scored. Finally, the game was decided by a penalty shoot-out. The tournament was held in Equatorial Guinea, and sixteen countries participated. The Africa Cup of Nations is held every two years on odd-numbered years.
