According to the United Nations’ Food and Agricultural Organization, one out of every nine people in this world suffers from hunger. This means that approximately 800 million people don’t get enough to eat every day. This number has decreased by about 100 million people over the last decade. Many countries’ governments have put in programs to help people get food, and there has been an increase in the basic food available for people to eat. The World Food Day is coming up on October 16. It is a day to spread awareness about the world’s hunger problems.
