Comic book sells for millions

How much do you think a comic book will sell for? A few dollars? Maybe even tens of dollars? How about US$3.2 million? Yes, that was the price somebody recently paid for a copy of Action Comics #1. This was the first issue of the Action Comics series published in 1938 and cost just 10 cents at the time. This is the comic book where Superman appeared for the first time, and is considered to be the start of the superhero genre. Another copy of Action Comics #1 sold for $2.16 million 3 years ago.

Superman is a superhero wearing a blue colored body suit and a red cape. He came from the dying planet Krypton, and was raised by a farming couple. He is fast and powerful. He can fly, and goes about helping people. Here is a famous quote: “Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superman!” Here is a video about the comic that was recently sold.
