Introducing Pepper

Good mood? Bad mood? Won’t it be nice if somebody can just figure it out without you having to explain? A Japanese company called Softbank has come up with a new humanoid robot called Pepper. Pepper can figure out how you are feeling. It is equipped with video cameras and facial/voice recognition technology, which helps the robot understand your mood. It can change its behavior according to how you are feeling. A humanoid robot is a robot that looks like a human being. It’ll be up for sale in Japan early next year for a price of 198,000 Japanese Yen (approximately USD 2,000). Here is a short video showing Pepper.
