Renaud Lavillenie, a 27-year-old from France, set a new world record for pole vaulting. He reached 6.16 metres (20.2 feet), which is the highest indoor pole vault for a male. Sergei Bubka, from Ukraine, was the old record holder with a record of 1 cm less. The amazing thing about Bubka’s record was that it took 21 years for someone to break it!
