The American Internet company, Yahoo! has a new logo. Yahoo! was founded in 1994 by two students of Stanford University (in California, USA), Jerry Yang and David Filo. The name “Yahoo” came from the phrase “Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle”. The exclamation mark was added because the word “Yahoo” was already trademarked by a company that made barbecue sauce. The current CEO of the company is Marissa Mayer.
One company’s logo that often shows up in the best logo lists is Sun Microsystems’ logo. Some of the founders of Sun were also Stanford University graduates. The logo has 4 copies of the word SUN in it. Can you spot them? Sun no longer exists as an independent company – it is now part of a company called Oracle.

Google Inc, the American Internet company, was also founded by two Stanford University students, Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
