An international organization called the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has released a newer version of its interactive tool called “Better Life Index”. The tool allows a person to rate 11 categories that are important to him or her, and then gives ratings for the countries that are the best places for the person to live in. It only does the comparison for 36 countries. The categories are chosen by the OECD and are community, education, environment, civic engagement, health, housing, income, jobs, life satisfaction, safety, and work-life balance. If all the 11 areas are given equal importance, the country that comes out at the top is Australia, giving the country the title the best place to live and work in. You can try OECD’s Better Life Index here.
