On February 10, Nigeria beat Burkina Faso and won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, a soccer tournament amongst countries in the African continent. The tournament was held in South Africa, and sixteen countries participated. The Africa Cup of Nations is held every two years, although the previous tournament was held in 2012. These tournaments are now going to be held in odd-numbered years so as not to conflict with the world’s most famous soccer tournament, the FIFA World Cup, which is held every four years and falls on even-numbered years.
