People in Seattle, USA, set a record on January 12 for the largest snowball fight. Each of the 5,834 participants threw at least one snowball during the fight. Over 160,000 pounds (70,000 kg) of snow was brought in on trucks for the ice battle.
The previous record was set in South Korea in 2010 when 5,387 people pelted snowballs at each other. Seattle is famous for being the home of Starbucks Coffee, one of the largest coffee chains in the world. Starbucks was founded in Seattle in 1971, and now has over 20,000 stores around the globe.
